Worship Arts

Isaiah 26:8: Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.

Worship is not something you do.  Worship is something you are.

  • Every one of us are worshippers, that reality is established by the fact that you are a human.
  • The question that remains to be answered is:  Who or What will we worship.

Whether we focus on money, work, family or Jesus, we worship.  We see it in the songs we sing, the shows we watch and the conversations we have.

At CGS we are committed to building a community of people who worship 24/7.  That doesn't mean we never leave the church building!  It means that we fill our minds with the reality of God so that He influcenes everything we see or do.

Its like learning to read.  At first the letters "A" "B" and "C" seem strange, but soon letter naturally melt together into words ... its happening right now while you read this.

A life of worship begins slowly at first.  Subjects like "grace", "atonement", and "salvation" feel strange.  But soon we see everthing in life through the lense of the Gospel.  Life melts together into a chorus of living worship.

At CGS we use art, music, stories and community as tools to help form this worship in us.

What are you worshipping today?
